Who can take part
- You have high blood pressure that is under control with medication for at least 3 months.
- You are having surgery on your arm, forearm, or hand that will use a tourniquet (a tight band to reduce bleeding) for at least 30 minutes.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 29.9.
- Your overall health is classified as ASA I or II by your doctor (meaning mild or no other diseases).
- You do not have any conditions that would make tourniquet use risky (such as blood vessel problems or infection).
