Comparing biopsy methods for prostate cancer detection

Who can take part

  • You are an adult man, 18 years or older.
  • Your doctor suspects you might have prostate cancer based on tests like a rectal exam, family history, or PSA levels, and has recommended a prostate biopsy.
  • You have had a special MRI scan (multiparametric MRI) showing a suspicious area rated PI-RADS 4 or 5, or a PI-RADS 3 area with a PSA density of 0.15 or higher.
  • You are healthy enough to have a prostate biopsy with local or general anesthesia.
  • Your PSA level is 20 ng/mL or lower.
  • You have not been diagnosed with prostate cancer before and have never had a negative prostate biopsy.
  • You understand the study and agree to take part by signing a consent form.
