  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You need to be able to read and complete questionnaires by yourself.
  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of periodontitis (gum disease).
  • You cannot have serious medical conditions like HIV/AIDS or diabetes.
  • You cannot be pregnant.
  • You should not have had gum treatment in the last eight weeks.
