How thoughts affect low back pain with manual therapy

This study looks at how your thoughts and feelings about your chronic low back pain affect your pain and ability to move, during a course of manual therapy (hands-on treatment by a therapist). It may help you understand if your mindset influences your recovery.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have had low back pain for more than 3 months, with at least one episode each week.
  • You have not had any physiotherapy for your back in the last 6 months.
  • You can read and understand Greek well enough to fill out forms and give consent.
  • You do not have any health conditions that make physiotherapy unsafe, like serious spine problems, recent surgery, or severe heart or lung issues.
