Who can take part
- You are currently in a major depressive episode and your depression is severe (MADRS score at least 22).
- If you take antidepressants, your dose has been the same for at least 6 weeks.
- No history of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or other psychotic disorders in you or your close family (if you're under 33).
- No active suicidal thoughts or recent suicide attempt.
- You are not pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or using adequate birth control if sexually active.
- You have not had a bad reaction to ketamine before or received electroconvulsive therapy in the last 3 months.
