Who can take part
- You have a stage II bedsore (pressure ulcer)
- You do not have any other skin condition
- Your blood levels of albumin, platelets, and sugar are normal
- You will be in the intensive care unit for 14 days or more
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 35 or lower
- You are not diabetic and do not have serious malnutrition
- You are not sensitive to light or taking medications that cause light sensitivity
