Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You have Parkinson’s disease that is mild to moderate (stages 1, 2, or 3 on the Hoehn and Yahr scale).
  • Your memory and thinking test score must be above 23 on the Mini-Mental State Exam.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) must be less than 30.
  • You cannot be a current smoker or have an active lung disease.
  • You must not have unstable vital signs or other serious health conditions that would make the exam unsafe.
