Who can take part

  • You must be female and between 18 and 55 years old.
  • You must be premenopausal.
  • You must have hormone receptor-positive breast cancer (either estrogen or progesterone receptor positive).
  • You must not have had radiation therapy to the ovaries, and any prior radiation side effects must have recovered.
  • You cannot have serious heart conditions, including certain QT interval abnormalities or heart failure.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding, and you must agree to use nonhormonal contraception if sexually active with a male partner.
  • You must not have other active cancers (except certain skin cancers or cervical carcinoma in situ).
  • You must have adequate liver, kidney, and blood function (e.g., certain minimum hemoglobin, white blood cell, and platelet counts).
