How footplate stiffness affects walking in carbon fiber braces
Part of Injuries & trauma clinical trials.
This study tests how different levels of stiffness in a custom carbon fiber foot brace (called a dynamic orthosis) change the way your foot hits the ground while walking. If you are a healthy adult without recent injuries or pain, you may be able to join.

This study tests if changing the height of a heel lift in a custom foot brace can improve how weight is distributed on your foot after a serious ankle or hindfoot injury. If you have pain when walking, this could help find better ways to reduce that pain.
This study tests whether a custom carbon fiber brace can help people with foot or ankle injuries walk with less pain and better balance. If you have an injury below your knee and need a special brace, this trial may be a good fit.
This study tests how well a sensor measures force in the top part of a carbon fiber leg brace. It may help improve brace design for people who need them.
This study looks at how changing the heel height and stiffness of an AFO (a brace you wear on your lower leg/foot) changes your walking pattern. The goal is to learn which brace settings may improve comfort and walking.
This study looks at how CMT affects walking, balance, and movement. It compares two groups of people with CMT: those who use an ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) and those who have had surgery to correct a foot deformity. The goal is to understand which approach works better for improving mobility.
This trial studies how well custom leg braces help people with long-term foot or ankle problems from a past injury. It looks at whether wearing a special brace can reduce pain and improve walking.
