Who can take part

  • You have tenderness when pressing on the outside bony part of your elbow.
  • Pain gets worse when you straighten your wrist against resistance.
  • You have never had a rheumatologic disease (like rheumatoid arthritis or lupus).
  • You have never had surgery on your elbow, knee, or ankle.
  • You have not had corticosteroid shots in your elbow, knee, or ankle.
  • You have no nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) or recent elbow injury.
