Shock wave and blood-flow therapy for tennis elbow

This study tests two treatments for tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis): shock wave therapy, which uses sound waves to help healing, and blood flow restriction therapy, which uses a cuff to increase blood flow during exercise. Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with tennis elbow by a doctor.
  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • Your weight is within normal or overweight range (BMI 18.5 to 29.9).
  • You have tennis elbow in only one arm (not both).
  • You have not had surgery on the elbow, and you have no other elbow problems.
  • You are not pregnant and are not taking birth control pills.
