Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have been diagnosed with catatonic syndrome using standard criteria (DSM-5).
  • You must have been treated at Basurto University Hospital (emergency, inpatient medical, or psychiatric unit).
  • Your diagnosis must have happened between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2025.
  • You or your legal representative must agree to take part (consent can be given later if you are very ill).
