Comparing two TACE methods for liver cancer patients with TIPS

Who can take part

  • You have liver cancer that is too large or has too many tumors for a liver transplant based on Milan criteria.
  • You have a TIPS shunt placed at least 1 month ago to treat bleeding or fluid buildup, and it is still working well.
  • Your liver function is good (Child-Pugh class A or B) and your lab results meet certain levels for blood cells, liver enzymes, and kidney function.
  • You have not had any cancer treatment in the last 12 months, and you have no other active cancers or serious infections.
  • You are not pregnant or planning pregnancy, and you do not have a history of brain metastases or allergies to contrast dye.
