Virtual reality vs. traditional therapy for balance and falls

FrailtyFallsBalance DeficitsMobility Limitations

Part of Bones, joints & muscles clinical trials.

This study compares two types of physical therapy: one using virtual reality (like a video game) and the other using traditional exercises. It aims to see which helps improve balance, reduce frailty, and prevent falls in adults 40 and older who have had a fall or have balance trouble.

Exercise and Virtual Reality for Older Adults

This study tests whether combining exercise with virtual reality (computer-based games or simulations) can help older adults stay stronger, more active, and mentally sharp. Researchers will see if this mix of physical activity and technology is better than exercise alone.

Virtual reality for balance and fall prevention in Parkinson's

This study tests whether playing virtual reality games can improve balance, reduce fall risk, and boost exercise ability in people with Parkinson's disease. You will attend therapy sessions that use a VR headset designed to help with movement.

NCT06672354Recruiting
Virtual reality vs. exercises for balance in older adults

This trial tests whether a fun virtual reality game (like a video game you do standing up) can improve balance and walking better than a set of simple exercises. It is for older adults who can still walk on their own but want to stay steady on their feet.
