Who can take part
- You either have dry eye symptoms (like dryness, irritation) and a positive clinical test, or you have used certain dry eye drops or have punctal plugs.
- If you do not have dry eye, you must have no symptoms or use of dry eye treatments.
- You cannot have other eye conditions that affect vision more than cataracts, such as active corneal disease.
- You must not have certain autoimmune diseases like active thyroid disease, Sjogren's, or rheumatoid arthritis.
- You cannot have had eye surgery in the last 6 months or LASIK in the last 3 months.
- You must not be pregnant, breastfeeding, or using certain medications that affect the central nervous system.
