Who can take part

  • Adults 18 or older with a type of liver cancer called hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) that can be surgically removed (resectable) and is beyond the Milan criteria.
  • You must not have had any previous treatment for your liver cancer.
  • Your liver function must be good (Child-Pugh class A) and you should be in relatively good health (performance status 0-1).
  • No history of bleeding from your stomach or esophagus (varices), blood clots, or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
  • You cannot have other active cancers, serious infections, or autoimmune diseases requiring treatment.
