MRI-Guided treatment reduction for stage 2-3 triple-negative breast cancer

Who can take part

  • You have stage 2 or 3 triple-negative breast cancer (tumor markers ER, PR, and HER2 are all negative).
  • You are healthy enough to receive the standard KEYNOTE-522 chemotherapy and immunotherapy combination.
  • You have not had an excisional biopsy (removing the whole tumor) or lymph node removal on that side before starting treatment.
  • You have no evidence that the cancer has spread to distant organs (stage 4).
  • You are 18 or older and have adequate bone marrow, liver, kidney, and heart function.
  • You agree to use effective birth control if you or your partner could become pregnant, for at least 6 months after the last dose of pembrolizumab.
