Who can take part
- You are 50 years old or older.
- You have osteoporosis (T-score -2.5 or worse on a DXA scan) or have had a broken bone from a minor fall.
- You are about to start a bone-strengthening medicine (like denosumab or a bisphosphonate) as part of your normal care.
- You do not have diabetes, chronic kidney disease (low eGFR), active cancer in the last 5 years, or other conditions that cause bone loss.
- You have not taken denosumab or a bisphosphonate in the past 12 months, and you do not have an inflammatory disease like rheumatoid arthritis.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you can attend follow-up visits.
