Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of systemic sclerosis with specific antibodies (ANA nucleolar pattern or anti-Scl-70).
  • You must have significant lung scarring (interstitial lung disease affecting at least 10% of your lung) plus active disease signs (like arthritis, muscle inflammation, heart inflammation, worsening skin, or high inflammation markers).
  • You must have tried at least one immune-suppressing medication for 6 months without success or had bad side effects.
  • You cannot need oxygen therapy or have very low lung function (DLCO ≤ 40%).
  • You cannot have moderate to severe pulmonary hypertension requiring combination treatment.
  • You cannot currently smoke or have used cigarettes or e-cigarettes in the last 3 months.
