Diagnosing overactive immune response in ICU patients

Hepatic InsufficiencyCirrhosis, Liver

Part of Digestive system clinical trials.

This study is looking at patients who were in the intensive care unit and showed signs of a condition called HLH, where the immune system becomes overactive. Researchers want to understand how these signs were diagnosed and managed in the ICU.

HLH study looking at immune system and genes

This study is for people with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a condition where the immune system becomes overactive. Researchers want to collect medical data and blood samples to better understand HLH and find better ways to diagnose and treat it.

Studying treatment responses in lymphoma-related HLH

This trial looks at how people with lymphoma-related hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) respond to treatment. It aims to better describe expected outcomes and who benefits most, which may help guide future care.

Early warning screening for hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis

This study aims to create an early warning system to identify patients with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a rare but serious immune overreaction. If you have certain infections, autoimmune diseases, or lymphoma, this screening could help detect HLH early.

Study of Immune-Related Liver Disease and Biological Samples

This is a research study collecting information and blood samples from patients with autoimmune hepatitis (a condition where the immune system attacks the liver) and patients with other types of liver disease. The goal is to better understand how these diseases develop and find new ways to diagnose and treat them.

Study of adults with suspected or confirmed HLH

This study follows adults who have findings that suggest HLH, a serious immune problem. It may help doctors better understand the condition by tracking patients over time and comparing symptoms and test results.

Testing high-dose cyclophosphamide to treat adult HLH

This trial studies whether giving high-dose cyclophosphamide as an initial treatment works better for adults with HLH. HLH is a serious, overactive immune condition, and the study aims to improve control of the illness and safety.
