Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You have pain on the inside of your big toe joint.
  • X-rays show that your big toe is angled more than 20 degrees and the bones behind it are widened more than 10 degrees.
  • You have tried non-surgical treatments (like special shoes or pads) for at least 8 months, and they haven't helped enough.
  • You are willing to come back for check-ups with X-rays and questionnaires for one year after surgery.
