Comparing metal vs. bone screws for bunion surgery

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 85 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with a bunion (hallux valgus).
  • You do not have an active cancer or a history of cancer.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have alcohol or drug abuse issues.
  • You do not have an infection in the foot or bone (osteomyelitis) or skin ulcers near the surgery site.
  • You are not on certain immune-suppressing medications that cannot be paused.
