Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You are scheduled for elective heart surgery under general anesthesia that requires a heart ultrasound probe (TEE)
- You are in good general health (ASA II or III)
- You do not have trouble swallowing, a sore throat, or recent throat infection
- You do not have neck spine problems
