- You are scheduled for elective (non-emergency) lung or chest surgery with general anesthesia.
- Your airway is expected to be easy to manage (Mallampati score 1 or 2).
- You are in good health or have mild, well-controlled medical conditions (ASA 1 or 2).
- You are not pregnant.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 35 or less.
- You have no risk of stomach contents entering your lungs (aspiration).
