Who can take part

  • Your baby must be at least 37 weeks old at birth and weigh at least 5.5 pounds (2.5 kg).
  • Your baby can be born vaginally or by C-section, but must stay in the hospital for at least 3 days.
  • Your baby should not have been around any second-hand smoke in the last 24 hours.
  • Neither you (the parents) nor your baby should be exposed to second-hand smoke, including if you smoke yourselves.
