Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have advanced stomach or gastroesophageal junction cancer that is HER2-negative and cannot be removed with surgery.
- You have not had any chemotherapy or other cancer treatment for advanced disease, though prior treatment for early-stage cancer is allowed if it ended at least 6 months ago.
- Your cancer must be measurable on scans.
- You are in good enough health to be up and about (ECOG score 0–1) and expected to live more than 3 months.
- Your kidney function is adequate (creatinine clearance at least 60 mL/min) and your blood counts and liver function are within acceptable ranges.
