Who can take part

  • You are a man aged 75 or older.
  • Your prostate is enlarged (over 40 mL) and you have a PSA level between 4 and 10 ng/mL.
  • You have moderate symptoms of an enlarged prostate, like weak stream, getting up at night, or feeling like you can't empty your bladder.
  • You have not had prostate surgery, prostate cancer, or other serious health problems like Parkinson's disease or an implanted heart device.
  • You are not taking certain medications that affect bladder function (like antihistamines, diuretics, or some antidepressants).
