Study of oxytocin response to oral estrogens
Treatments studied
Part of Hormones & metabolism, Kidney & urinary, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.
This trial looks at how the body's oxytocin level changes after taking estrogen pills. It includes healthy people and those with a condition called AVP-deficiency (a lack of a hormone that controls water balance). The study aims to understand how estrogen affects oxytocin.

This study tests if a nasal spray with oxytocin (a natural hormone) can improve emotion recognition and reduce stress-related hormone levels in people with central diabetes insipidus compared to healthy volunteers.
This study tests whether a nasal spray containing oxytocin can improve sexual well-being in people with a condition called arginine vasopressin deficiency (a problem with a hormone that controls water balance). Healthy volunteers who have mild sexual issues will also take part for comparison. Participants receive either the oxytocin spray or a placebo and fill out questionnaires about their sex life.

This study tests whether a low dose of MDMA, compared to a placebo, changes oxytocin levels in people with a condition called arginine vasopressin deficiency (also known as central diabetes insipidus). The goal is to understand the role of oxytocin in this condition and explore potential treatment insights.
This study looks at how a hormone called oxytocin affects the brain's reward system in women. If you are a healthy woman with a natural menstrual cycle or on birth control pills, you may be able to join and help researchers understand how oxytocin influences emotions and motivation.
This study tests whether an oxytocin nasal spray affects social behavior and hormones in postmenopausal women. Being postmenopausal may change how the body responds to oxytocin, so this research aims to see if it can help with mood or social connections.
