Who can take part
- Your baby was born with a birth defect that needed major surgery as a newborn, including heart problems.
- Your baby is currently less than 48 weeks old (corrected age), stable, and only needs a small amount of extra oxygen (less than 2 liters per minute) and no IV pain medicine.
- Your baby was born at 34 weeks or later.
- Your baby does not have a brain or spinal cord defect (like spina bifida), a genetic syndrome, or a history of ECMO (heart-lung bypass).
- Your baby was not on a breathing machine for more than 30 days and is not a ward of the state.
