Who can take part

  • Your baby must have had a lack of oxygen around birth (HIE) at full term, or be born very early (before 28 weeks of pregnancy).
  • You must be able to speak and understand English to provide consent and fill out surveys.
  • Your baby cannot have any major genetic conditions (like Down syndrome) or birth defects.
  • Your baby must have normal vision (or vision good enough to see clearly).
  • Both you and your baby will take part in the study together.
