This study tests if combining spinal cord stimulation with walking training helps improve leg movement and recovery in people with a recent spinal cord injury (between 1 week and 6 months ago). It is designed for those who can stand for at least 10 minutes with or without help.

Who can take part

  • You have a spinal cord injury that happened between 1 week and 6 months ago
  • You are 16 years or older
  • Your injury is in the neck or upper back (between the C1 and L2 bones of your spine)
  • You can stand with or without help for at least 10 minutes
  • You can follow instructions in English or French
  • You do not have a pacemaker, active cancer at the stimulation site, or an unhealed wound where the electrodes would go
