Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been exposed to silica dust at work (either low, moderate, or high levels – the study needs both groups)
  • You are able to understand and agree to participate by signing a consent form
  • You are affiliated with a social security system (health insurance)
  • You do not have certain conditions that make breathing tests risky (like recent eye/throat surgery, heart attack, blood clot, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or collapsed lung)
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
