Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have gallbladder polyps or symptomatic gallstones confirmed by scan (like ultrasound or CT)
  • Your doctor feels you can have a minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery
  • You do not have an acute gallbladder infection (cholecystitis) or known bile duct stones
  • You are not pregnant and you have not been told you have severe liver disease (cirrhosis stage III or IV)
  • You can understand and fill out quality-of-life questionnaires in English
