- You are 18 years old or older
- You have gallbladder polyps or symptomatic gallstones confirmed by scan (like ultrasound or CT)
- Your doctor feels you can have a minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery
- You do not have an acute gallbladder infection (cholecystitis) or known bile duct stones
- You are not pregnant and you have not been told you have severe liver disease (cirrhosis stage III or IV)
- You can understand and fill out quality-of-life questionnaires in English
