This study helps families of children with a new feeding tube learn how to care for it at home. You and your child will get educational materials and complete surveys to help us improve discharge teaching.

Who can take part

  • Your child is between 0 and 17 years old.
  • Your child just got a new feeding tube (G-tube, J-tube, GJ-tube, or NG-tube).
  • Your child is still in the hospital and will be discharged soon.
  • You are the legal guardian and can take part in the study, including filling out questionnaires and learning sessions.
  • Both you and your child are willing to complete surveys and receive educational materials.
