Who can take part

  • Your child is 0 to 18 years old and staying in the hospital.
  • Your child needs a soft tube put through the nose into the stomach (a nasogastric tube) for feeding or giving medicine, not for draining stomach contents.
  • You or your child's legal guardian must agree in writing to join the study.
  • Your child must not have a serious medical complication or unstable condition that could make the procedure risky.
