Who can take part
- You must have advanced or metastatic kidney cancer that includes a clear-cell type (a common kind of kidney cancer).
- You must not have had any prior drug treatment for your advanced kidney cancer, except for certain past treatments given over a year ago after surgery to prevent recurrence.
- You must not have brain metastases that need immediate treatment or be expected to need such treatment during the first 3 weeks of the study.
- You must not be taking any probiotic supplements (like those in yogurt or pills) during the study.
- You must have adequate organ function (kidney, liver, blood counts) and be in good enough physical condition to receive standard care treatments.
