Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You are a healthy volunteer OR have chronic hepatitis B that is not currently being treated (or never treated).
  • If you have hepatitis B, you must be HBeAg-negative and have a high hepatitis B surface antigen level (HBsAg ≥ 100 IU/mL).
  • You cannot have significant liver scarring (cirrhosis) or evidence of liver cancer.
  • You must not be pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, and you need to use effective birth control if applicable.
  • You cannot have taken any other experimental drug or device in the last 90 days.
