- For the autism group: a clinical diagnosis of autism based on DSM-5
- Infants under 24 months with a parent or sibling who has autism
- Parents of the enrolled children can also participate

- No known genetic syndromes or dysmorphic features
- Not currently taking medications or psychotropic drugs
