This trial tests a new way to give the immunotherapy drug durvalumab as a shot under the skin (subcutaneous) instead of through an IV. It is for people with certain types of lung cancer or liver cancer that has not spread widely and who have not had immunotherapy before. The goal is to see if the subcutaneous injection is safe and works similarly to the IV form.

Who can take part
- You must have a diagnosis of one of these cancers: stage III non-small cell lung cancer that cannot be removed by surgery, limited-stage small cell lung cancer (stage I-III), or liver cancer that cannot be removed by surgery.
- You must have already received chemotherapy given together with radiation for your cancer (for lung cancer) or have not had any prior systemic treatment for liver cancer (for liver cancer).
- You should not have received any immunotherapy drugs (like checkpoint inhibitors) before.
- You must be generally healthy enough to care for yourself (ECOG performance status 0 or 1) and have a life expectancy of at least 12 weeks.
- You must weigh more than 30 kg (66 pounds) and have acceptable kidney, liver, and bone marrow function.
