Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must have a type of liver cancer called HCC that has spread beyond the liver and cannot be treated with surgery.
  • You must have a tumor that can be measured on a scan (at least 1 cm across).
  • You must have a liver biopsy confirming HCC within the last 3 months or be willing to have one.
  • You must have good enough liver function (Child-Pugh score A or B7) and be able to care for yourself (ECOG 0-2).
  • If you could become pregnant, you must agree to use effective birth control or be abstinent during treatment and for 3 months after.
