- You are 18 years or older
- You have a kidney stone smaller than 2 centimeters that needs treatment because it causes pain, blocks urine flow, or affects the kidney
- You do not have an active urinary tract infection

- You do not have a kidney that is in an unusual position or shape that would make the procedure difficult
