This research study tests a short, adapted therapy program for children ages 7-12 who have experienced trauma and are having PTSD symptoms. The goal is to make treatment more accessible and help children and their families feel better.

Who can take part
- Child is between 7 and 12 years old and a parent or guardian is willing to join the study.
- Child experienced a traumatic event at least 4 weeks ago, and that event happened after their 3rd birthday.
- Child shows at least 5 symptoms of PTSD (like bad dreams, avoiding reminders, or feeling on edge).
- Child does not have autism, active psychosis, or a condition that makes it hard to follow instructions.
- The person who harmed the child does not live in the home, and the child does not have unsupervised visits with them.
- Child is not currently in trauma-focused therapy, and if taking medication, they have been on a stable dose for at least 4 weeks (or 2 weeks for benzodiazepines/stimulants).
