Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You are thinking about having bariatric surgery.
  • You smoke at least 5 cigarettes each day for the past 3 months.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or higher.
  • You are not taking medications that interact with naltrexone or bupropion (such as opioids or benzodiazepines).
  • You do not have a history of seizures, uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart problems, or eating disorders like anorexia or bulimia.
