Who can take part

  • You are 40 years or older (phase 1) or 50 years or older (phase 2).
  • You never had shingles or chickenpox as an adult, and never got a shingles or chickenpox vaccine before.
  • You don't have poorly controlled health conditions like high blood pressure or diabetes.
  • You don't have a weak immune system or take medicines that suppress it (like high-dose steroids for more than 14 days).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and agree to use effective birth control for 6 months after the last dose.
  • You have no history of heart muscle inflammation (myocarditis), autoimmune diseases, or bleeding disorders.
