Who can take part
- Your child must be between 15 months and 6 years old (or between 4 and 6 years old if your country gives a second dose at that age).
- Your child must have already received a first dose of the chickenpox vaccine (varicella) and a first dose of the MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, rubella) in their second year of life (or earlier if recommended by your country's schedule).
- Your child should be generally healthy, with no serious medical conditions like immune problems, uncontrolled seizures, or a history of febrile seizures (if under 4).
- Your child must not have a known allergy to neomycin, gelatin, or latex.
- Your child must not have had measles, mumps, rubella, or chickenpox/shingles before.
- Your child cannot be taking certain medications that affect the immune system (like long-term steroids) or have received blood products in the past 90 days.
