Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with esophagus cancer from a biopsy.
  • You are scheduled for a minimally invasive (thoracoscopic) surgery to remove the cancer and reconnect your esophagus.
  • Your heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys are healthy enough for surgery.
  • You have not had neck or chest surgery before.
  • You are not allergic to the dye ICG or iodine.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
