  • You are a man aged 18 or older.
  • You are scheduled for your first shoulder replacement surgery (not a repeat surgery).
  • You do not have an allergy to Prontosan gel (a gel used to clean wounds).
  • You are able to give consent on your own behalf.
  • You speak and understand English.
