Who can take part
- You are between 50 and 90 years old
- You have an age-related cataract that is dense (grade 4 or higher on a standard scale)
- You are scheduled for cataract surgery with a new lens implant
- Your pupil dilates to at least 6 mm with drops
- Your corneal cell count is at least 1500 cells per square mm
- You have not had eye trauma or surgery before
- You do not have other eye diseases like glaucoma or diabetic retinopathy
