  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are admitted to the hospital with a suspected infection and are very ill.
  • You or a family member can talk to the study team in English or Luganda.
  • You agree to let the study team review your medical records and check on you daily.
  • You are willing to receive a phone call after you go home.
  • You have a working mobile phone that can receive calls.
