Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Have a confirmed ureteral stricture (for the patient group) or be a healthy volunteer with no urinary tract problems (for the control group).
  • Not have taken antibiotics, probiotics, prebiotics, or antifungal medications in the past 4 weeks.
  • Not have chronic gut problems like inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, or ongoing diarrhea.
  • Not have a history of cancer in the urinary tract or other body systems.
  • Not have had major abdominal or urinary surgery in the last 3 months (except the planned procedure for patients).
